Summer Wrap - Up!

I know, I know, I have been a bad bad girl - I haven't updated this blog for months! So...instead of posting separate posts for everything we did this past summer I am going to give it to you in a nutshell - First on the list is as always BASEBALL! Between St. Albans High games and B in T-Ball the first part of our spring/summer was spent at a baseball field of some sort!

On April 1st B learned how to ride his bike with no training wheels - and no this isn't an April Fools Joke! ;-)

On May 28th B Graduated from Preschool! I will have to say he disappointed me in the ceremony, he was laughing and goofing off the entire time - he tends to do that when he gets nervous! But he looked cute in his cap (no gown) and he made it through! He is growing so fast!

The day after B's graduation we helped out with the Bill Young Memorial Golf Tournament and it was a huge success - they were able to raise enough money this year to be able to endow the funds in Bill's name! The money is set aside to help out families of cancer patients with expenses! B went with me and had a blast running around the golf course. It was muddy but a good time was had by all!

B loved the Ball Wash - if we looked around and couldn't find him we just looked here and there he was!

We had the boys Birthday party together this year! One set of invites, one set of favors, and one day set aside for nothing but them! It was nice I will have to say! To have it all over in one day was so much better than last year when we had them two weeks apart! It was at Pump up the Fun and they sure did have a blast!

A good friend from Elementary School/Jr. High/High school is a photographer in Nashville (Lillian B. Photography) - she was coming in town and I had her take the boys pictures for their 5 year old and 2 year old pics. She did a fabulous job - so creative and unique! Here are the sneak peaks she sent me and once I got all the proofs they were all this great - made it very hard to choose!

We went to Cinci with friends in July - we went to Montgomery Inn Ribs for lunch when we first got there - we went to the Aquarium and to a Reds baseball game! We had a blast - for some reason my pics at the baseball game didn't upload so I don't have any of those - it started raining and we walked to the game from our hotel so we had to walk back in the rain - it turned out to be a fun little adventure!

Since we didn't get to the beach this year we had lots of water fun at home and at Nana's house!

And now B started Kindergarten - I can't believe he is now in school school! He had a hard time at first Lots and Lots of tears were shed by both him and me! But I think he is getting the hang of it finally! It took us a while but he is even riding the bus home now! He was going to afterschool care the first couple of days but that turned out to be too long of a day for him so (thankfully) mom drives down everyday to pick him up from the bus stop! I hated to make her do that but it seems to help out a lot so she is happy to do it and I am so happy she does!

First day off the bus:

And last but not least W - is attending Story Time once a week at the Library - Mom did this with B and now that she doesn't have B too she started this year with W! So far he is doing great and seems to really enjoy it!

I will try not to let my life "pile up" again before posting! We had a great summer and are now trying to avoid the swine flu! ;-) I will post more soon! I will not let it go as long in between this time!

4th Annual Hager Crawfish Boil

Our next door neighbors, the Hager's had their 4th Annual Crawfish Boil on Saturday May 23, 2009. I have never participated in a crawfish boil and I have to say it was very fun! There were tons of people, tons of crawfish, and tons of fun had by all. It was really a great day! The kids enjoyed the pool, the bouncehouse, and the inflatable waterslide, and the adults enjoyed the friends, food, and drink! It started around 3 and lasted pretty much until the wee hours of the morning - I didn't make it that long but some did! ;-)

Bradley's UnBirthday Birthday Party

I thought this was so thoughtful - this year since several kids birthday's fall during the summer, Bradley's preschool class teacher assigned each child an "unbirthday" birthday! Bradley's was May 11, 2009 and I took off work to take the kids cookies and Capri Suns. Since Bradley doesn't like cupcakes he chose the cookies. He wanted Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter but he settled for just the Chocolate Chip since I didn't want to be responsible for some poor child going into anaphylactic shock. Here are a few pictures of the event. He got to wear a crown and be the line leader and have all the perks of it being his Birthday!
