Bradley's Basketball

Bradley was playing basketball at Riverlawn Church in St. Albans. It is such a good program. First they warm up and practice shooting, then they have a "bible lesson" on some type of quality, like trustworthiness, sharing... Then they play a game, which I had my doubts could actually happen but it did and he loved it. This program was so much better than the basketball he did at the YMCA last year. The Y had regular size balls and regular hoops, just lowered as far as they would go, but they were still way over my head. So Bradley got frustrated because he couldn't get that heavy ball up that high. He ended up not even wanting to go last year. This year at Riverlawn, they use smaller balls and shorter hoops which he loved because he could actually make a basket. It was really neat because he was on a team with Reece, Shawn, Tanner, Joey and Sam. All of which their father's went to St. Albans and were friends. The dad's took turns each week coaching

Basketball was on Saturday's and after the last session they invited everyone to church service on Sunday and then had a very nice luncheon and awards ceremony. Bradley was so excited because he got his first trophy.
We will definitely do this program again.

How cute is that!? Yeah, I can't imagine how little ones even play b-ball. But what do I know, I just witnessed soccer for the first time! I can't believe how much "older" Wesley looks too. I guess it is the haircut. That is such a big change. But I think his look (face) even looks different. Nicholas asked me today how Bradley was going to get to Grammy's house. (We are going to FL next week.) I loved that he remembered him.
