2008 St. Albans Baseball Beach Trip

OK here are a few Highlights (this will probably be a long post) of our trip to Myrtle Beach with the St. Albans Baseball Team. We had a great time - it was chaotic at times and the team didn't play very well but in the end it was a week away from work - with the kids and we did have fun. It was kinda cold for the first several days but we did get on our suits and out on the beach on Friday. I don't know how the kids did it but they actually got wet - the water was like ice. But they had fun and we actually stayed out there a lot longer than we thought we would. Easter Sunday the Easter Bunny hid Easter Eggs at the park and the kids had a ball finding them all.

Then on Monday the guys didn't play until 7pm and it was cold so Missy, Jessica and I loaded up all six kids and went to the Aquarium. They all seemed to have a really good time and we went to Johnny Rockets afterwards for a burger and the kids enjoyed the singing and dacing. Johnny Rockets is one of those old Soda Shop type places and all the wait staff dressed in their white coats and hats every once in a while will start singing and dancing to an old classic.

Bradley is really into Pirates lately so he really enjoyed this exhibit - however he wouldn't get his picture taken with these guys

But he would stand in front of the Ships

As always Missy was prepared and had treats for the kids - This is Bradley after his blue sucker - I thought it was a very cute picture blue lips and all.

Here is the gang at Johnny Rockets
Wesley watching the wait staff dance (sorry I didn't get a picture of them) and Bradley doing his own little dance.
OK now, I forgot my camera on Tuesday at the Game but these are from Wed. and Thursday. We had the kids jackets and shirts done with their last name on them and they all looked so cute. I didn't get one of all of them together - it is hard with six and they did that on Tuesday when I forgot my camera. I hope to get them all in one together sometime at the SA field this season. I am hoping on Saturday but we will see. But anyway the whole reason for the trip was baseball so there are several pictures I couldn't resist posting so there are quite a few.

Now we did get out on the beach on Thursday and Friday. Here are a few highlights of that.

And last but not least a few pictures of some other things we did - we rode rides at Broadway - Bradley took his firt solo flight (first solo ride of any kind) and Wesley had his first Merry Go Round Ride - we also played Putt Putt on Friday night.

Friday before the Beach

Well as usual nothing around here can go off without a hitch. Good Friday we were gearing up to leave for the beach, I had one last day at work before a much needed week off and Mom was watching the kids for the last time before she went to Florida. Then the call came in at around 3 - mom called me at work and said Bradley is complaining that his ear hurts. So I hung up with her and called the Dr. who was not in since it was Good Friday. Great!!! So when I got to mom and dad's at around 5 after making a pit stop at In Stitches to pick up a few things for the trip (they close at 5 so I had to go there first) we were off to Urgent Care - Luckly there were only a few people there so we were only there for about 2 hours. The Diagnosis - Ear Infection. Great, now we have to lug meds to the beach. Oh and those meds upset his stomach if you know what I mean so that was another adventure in itself. So after going about 1 1/2 years without an ear infection Bradley has now had two in the last 5 months. Not really concerned yet but I am hoping we can avoid tubes for him. But I guess we will see - if he needs them he needs them. Anyway, Wendy had gone over to mom's to give the kids their Easter gifts and Bradley was asleep since he wasn't feeling well and Wesley was happy go lucky - here are a few pictures she took that day.

I will post pictures of the beach soon - I haven't gotten them uploaded yet. We had a good time, chaotic but fun - St. Albans went 1 - 3 so the guys weren't that fun to be around. :-)

WOW - Four posts in Two Days!!!

Wow I am getting good at this four posts in two days - Mom just sent me these pictures so I thought I would share - Bradley got a new bike for Christmas and this is his old one (Thanks Tiffanie) that he keeps at Mom and Dad's house. He has really just started to be able to peddle good and the other day it was nice so Mom got him outside and he enjoyed some bike time.

Easter Came Early for US

Well we are off to the Beach with the St. Albans Baseball team this Saturday. I hated to make the Easter Bunny pack up the Easter baskets and take them all the way to South Carolina so I called the Easter Bunny and had him come to our house early - this past Sunday. We made it to church too for the first time in a couple of weeks since we were all well for the first time since the virus overtook us, so I got the boys all dressed up in their Easter outfits and off we went. Here are a few pictures of them. Bradley wouldn't cooperate so what you see is what you get. Oh and afterwards he fell asleep in the car on the way home from church so you won't get any good ones then either. Enjoy, and I will post again when I get back from the beach I am sure I will have plenty of pictures to share.

Wesley was SOOOO excited :-)

Bradley took Basketball lessons this past Feb. (which reminds me I never posted any pictues of that event) and one of the boys had a headband and Bradley HAD to have one too so the Easter Bunny thought it would be something good to go in his basket that was NOT full of sugar! :-)

Here are the pictures before church

And these are after church - I tried to get one of Wesley crawling and pulling up - I figure he will be walking soon - oh and since I posted one of me above I thought I would post one of Jeremy too (as you can tell he was very excited to get his picture taken). Also as you can see Bradley fell asleep in the car and I want you all to notice Bradley's best friend "Roary" - he just can't sleep without him.

Tanner's Birthday Party!

We attended Tanner's 2nd Birthday Party at Bizzy Boppers on Feb. 23, 2008 (I think that is where the Nora Virus came from - but no one else got it so who knows). Here is the Birthday BOY.

and here is the rest of the crew - I couldn't get a good one of Bradley or Reece since they were NON Stop the entire evening. I did get several good ones of Wesley because he LOVED this round thing. He got in the middle and would just walk around and I loved it because he was contained in one spot. Jeremy asked me how much I thought one of those things would cost maybe we should get one. :-)

Here's Bradley and Reece (what I could actually snap of them)

Wesley wasn't so sure about the swing

But HE LOVED This thing

and finally the crew minus Wesley eating cake.

Wesley's Tubes

OK I know it has been a while and in th past month or so since I last posted ALOT of things have happened. On Feb. 18, 2008 Wesley got tubes. He did well and from the minute they brought him back to me he is a NEW BABY!!!! He is so happy, he laughs often and it is so cute, he wrinkles up his nose and squints his eyes and his two front (Gapped) teeth just shine. I will try and find a picture of that for you. It has really helped him a lot. He still does whine and want you to pick him up sometimes but I think that is just because he did it for so long that is all he knows. SO anyway that week started out Great and then quickly did a downward turn. We got tubes on Monday, he had a well visit on Wed. and on Sunday we were in the ER ALL night with the Nora Virus (Wesley throwing up). Then Tues. Jeremy was throwing up, Wed. I was throwing up, and Friday we were back in the ER with Wesley still throwing up. All the while Mom and Dad both got it too. AND I don't have much leave so I was really streaching it. I went to work the Monday after no sleep and being in the ER all night on Sunday just because I thought OK if I get this I will need to take off then so I won't take off on Monday so I can at least not use two days. Anyway we are all better now and I can actually enjoy my HAPPY SON!!!

Wesley after tubes:

Oh and here is a picture I found of him smiling and his teeth shining - this one doesn't do the facial expression that he makes justice but it is the best one I could find - plus you can see his gapped two front teeth in this one.
