Wesley Turns O-N-E

Well I know it was about 3 weeks ago but I just got the pictures from MOM - but my baby turned one on May 25. I can't belive he is already a year old. Anyway, we had a joint party with the neighbors - their daughter Laci turned 2. (That is their house - Katie that is Angie (Carter) Hager's house and it was her little girl who turned 2)
So we had an outdoor bash for the both of them and had it catered by Good Stuff Good Times.
Welsey loved his car
Hated his swing

and since he woke up that morning with a snotty nose he wasn't really in a Party mood. But he did dive into his cake - however, he didn't really eat any of it.

Then came Laci's big gift which is funny we didn't even get any pictures of Laci actually in the car but the boys all fought (See Bradley in Tears) over this pimped out Princess Car.

So Wendy thought she would get in on the act.

Then the after Wesley's Party - Party which included water balloons, corn hole and sandboxes.

Katie - the boy in the orange and white OshKosh shirt is Ben, Shannon's little one. She is having another boy in August (Ben will be 2 in December). Just thought you might be interested in seeing him. And I love the last one that is (from L to R) Reece, Chase (Angie's little boy), Bradley and Nicholas. They all seemed to have a really good time. When I get pictures of Bradley's Birthday I will post those too. Next year I will probably have their parties together since they are so close. One Invitation, One set of Favors, One Party, One Day, One Happy Mommy! I really enjoy planning them but two parties in two weeks was a little much.

Bradley's End of the Year Swim Party

Well as I mentioned in the "Year End Evaluation" post Bradley's Class had a Swim Party at the Cross Lanes Pool his last day of school. Mom took him since I am short on leave days, she said it was very cold but everyone swam and seemed to have a good time. Here are a couple of pictures.

Run for the Wall ~ LA - to - DC

Every year on Memorial Day weekend the "Run for the Wall" Motorcycle ride goes from LA to the Veterans Memorial in DC. They always stop at the West Virginia State Capital for breakfast. It is one of their last stops before making it to DC. This year I actually had my camera with me so I snapped a few pictures. There are always hundreds of people, however, this year I think was the largest I have seen in my 9 years of working here. Be safe on your trip and God Bless.

Brotherly Duties

I thought this was funny - Mom and I were out in the garage working the other day and Jeremy was inside with the kids. Jeremy came and got us and said look at this. What had happened was Jeremy was feeding Wesley and Bradley wanted something to drink. Bradley hasn't learned the art of patients yet and kept asking Jeremy for a drink. So Jeremy said - I will get you a drink, I am feeding Wesley right now so if you want to feed Wesley, then I can get up a get you a drink. So Bradley said OK and he started feeding Wesley. It was really a cute moment, take a LOOK!

Time Sure Does Fly

WOW - Wesley will be one year old on Sunday. I can't believe how fast this past year has flown by. It just seems like yesterday I was in the Hospital with him. Mary and Tom got the kids bean bags (one is a football and one is a soccer ball) for their birthdays and they came yesterday. They are a BIG hit. They are going in the newly finished bonus room once we get carpet in there. Here are a few pictures of them enjoying their birthday gifts.

Bradley's Year end Evaluation

Well today is the last day of Preschool for Bradley. Actually Friday is but that day they are having a big Pool Party so really this is the last real day of Preschool. I think back to this picture and it just seems like yesterday. This was his first day of preschool. Anyway, I dropped him off this morning and his Year End Evaluation was in his basket, which mom had told me the other day his teacher had said he did really well on. So I was excited to see what it said. He got check marks on everything except knowing his address and telephone number. She wrote out from it, that he said he lived by Chase and Nicholas in West Virginia. I thought that was kinda cute. He got checks on his ability to write his name, state age, state first and last name, his awareness of self as part of the family unit, all his body parts including ankles, chest, cheek, heels, chin to name a few of the not so obvious ones. He knew all his colors, shapes, and letters (upper and lower case), he identified numbers 1 -10 and orally counted to 29 (leaving out "15" as he always does for some reason). He identified the days of the week, the current month, and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. He also got checks on his sensory recognition, balance, locomotion, spatial relationships, rhythm and timing to music. She stated he works and plays well with others (sharing, taking tuns and being courteous) and she stated that he listens, obeys, and follows directions. He has very good verbal ability and very good gross and fine motor skills. She also stated they are looking forward to having him in class again next year and that he was very well liked by his peers.

Bradley loves school and I think he will miss it a lot this summer. His homework this summer - work on phonics and learning his address and phone number - so he can get all check marks next year. :-)

More Baseball Pictures

Well, this is the last batch of baseball pictures I will post until next season because Baseball is now over. St. Albans put up a good fight but lost to Nitro in the sectionals. Nitro is the better team so they deserve to go on. Jeremy even agreed to that one. So anyway, Wendy came down for the second game of sectionals which St. Albans actually won to send them to a game three which they lost. Anyway, Wendy took some pictures and got the kids (all six) to line up and we got their picture with their jackets on.

Here's Bradley

Here's Wesley

And here they are together - the one on the left they were looking at Jeremy who was coaching first base - but right as Wendy took the picture they got the last out and Jeremy started going back over to the dugout.
