My two sick kids

I posted all the fun stuff this morning but in reality we have been sick (yet again) for over a week now. Bradley had a high (almost 103) temp last Wed. and I took him to Urgent Care because it was in the evening. No ear infection and Strep was Neg. (I thought GREAT) Well Not Great - took him back to the Dr. on Friday (our Dr. was out of town so we saw his partner) It was a virus - his troat was sore - blisters all over his throat - so I assumed Strep - second strep test was Neg. She looked at Wesley - did a strep on him it too was Neg. SO what is going on. The weekend past and as usual we had something planned everyday - Birthday Party, Baseball Coaches Cookout... you name it, it was planned for this past weekend, and we missed them all. The boys were not any better by Monday so I took them back and we saw our regular Ped. (which we LOVE but I swear he has ADD). Diagnosis.....Hand Foot Mouth Disease. YEAH!!! Luckly Adults don't usually get it but Bradley was in severe pain with his troat - he didn't have it any where else but Wesley had it all over his feet and legs. Come to find out a boy in Bible School had it. This one has been tough. We have been in the house for about seven days. NOT FUN! Especially when the B'Day party was next door and they had it in the backyard. Talk about tough - Bradley sat and watched from the Bonus Room Window. Poor Thing. The normal period for HFMD is 3-5 days but Dr. Childers said the unlucky ones (US) keep it for about 7 days. YEAH US!!! Anyway Bradley was outside today for the first time in eight days and he really played hard. I am glad to have my old Bradley back. Wesley never did really act sick, Bradley on the other had was not himself at all.

What the ?!?! I hope the parents of that boy at Bible school didn't know he had it when he was busy infecting your children!! Good-ness!! What a bummer that they have to miss out on a week of summer. I hope they start feeling better soon. Sounds like they are miserable : ( and I hope you and Jeremy are holding up through it all.
