Bradley's Basketball

Bradley was playing basketball at Riverlawn Church in St. Albans. It is such a good program. First they warm up and practice shooting, then they have a "bible lesson" on some type of quality, like trustworthiness, sharing... Then they play a game, which I had my doubts could actually happen but it did and he loved it. This program was so much better than the basketball he did at the YMCA last year. The Y had regular size balls and regular hoops, just lowered as far as they would go, but they were still way over my head. So Bradley got frustrated because he couldn't get that heavy ball up that high. He ended up not even wanting to go last year. This year at Riverlawn, they use smaller balls and shorter hoops which he loved because he could actually make a basket. It was really neat because he was on a team with Reece, Shawn, Tanner, Joey and Sam. All of which their father's went to St. Albans and were friends. The dad's took turns each week coaching

Basketball was on Saturday's and after the last session they invited everyone to church service on Sunday and then had a very nice luncheon and awards ceremony. Bradley was so excited because he got his first trophy.
We will definitely do this program again.

Bradley's Christmas Program

Yeah I know these are out of order but I wanted to post some pictures of Bradley's Christmas Program that was on December 5, 2008. His class put on a program at the school on a Friday night and it was very cute. Enjoy!

Wesley's First Hair Cut

Yeah I know it has been a while since I have posted. We were sick most of December, and January wasn't much better. I leave most of the picture taking up to mom and Wendy so I haven't had any pictures to post lately - I still don't have Christmas pictures because mom hasn't had a chance to get them uploaded online - she did manage to get these on...
Yes I know my baby is 20 1/2 months old and believe it or not he JUST got his First Haircut. We had been putting it off because we didn't think he would do well, then on top of that he was tired the day we went so I really didn't think he would do well. Well, let me tell you did he surprise us all HE DID GREAT! I think in part because he was so tired and I think a little scared. The hairdresser gave him a sucker and he just sat there and let her cut his hair and then he ate his sucker and he was fine. However, now my baby doesn't look like a baby anymore, he looks like a little boy. :-(
Bradley is playing basketball and as soon as I have time to upload those pictures I will post them, as well as Christmas when I get those - I know they will be out of order but I will get them up as soon as I get them. Sorry for the long time in between.

2 Bradley Wendy Days!

Wendy sent me these pictures this past weekend. My aunt is coming home from the hospital today after being in there for 2 days short of 3 weeks - so in the past 3 weeks there has been some shuffling of the kids. Wendy had to pick Bradley up from school on two different days while Mary and Tom watched Wesley because Mom was at the hospital with Aunt Bobby! So here are a few pictures of their adventures. The first day Wendy had Bradley they went on a nature walk and collected leaves, rocks and acorns (which I found several in my washer that weekend). The second day she took him to the park at the bottom of the hill where she lives and then to the park in Nitro. Bradley really had a Great time spending some one on one time with Aunt Wendy and Uncle Jim!

Potential Plus

Bradley, Reece and Tanner started Pre-Potential Plus classes yesterday. It is a program that is put on by the Teays Physical Therapy Center that helps preschool kids with their balance, coordination, strength development, competition and fun. Basically it is a way to let them get some exercise and burn off some energy while learning how to run, balance, and working on their coordination. Everyone has always said Bradley took after me and was clumsy! Thanks! Robby (the guy that runs the program) told me Bradley is very coordinated for his age! I don't know if you can be clumsy and coordinated at the same time but I think Bradley might be - because he is pretty clumsy. :-)
I think Wesley would've even joined in because he did several times - It is hard to keep a 17 month old from running and doing what all the other kids are doing. I tried my best to keep him occupied with other things but all he wanted to do was run with the boys! Maybe next year Wesley.
This is "The Pit"- I didn't get any of them in the pit because I was chasing Wesley at the time! But it is basically a pit of sand were they do different running exercises.
This is the boys (and girl) getting their feet washed off after being in "The Pit"!
And this is Wesley dreaming of getting in "The Pit" ~ Sorry buddy like I said maybe next year!

Veggie Tales LIVE!

Well Veggie Tales Live came to Charleston November 6th and Bradley and I went along with Missy, Reece and Tanner. I thought there is NO WAY Wesley will sit still long enough to do this so he stayed home with Daddy! Bradley seemed to enjoy it I think more than Reece and Tanner - they left at intermission - It was hard because it was a Thursday night at 6:30 - 8:30 and Bradley did start getting really tired towards the end but we stuck it out! It was cute - basically a lot of singing silly songs with a little bit of a plot!
